 The Instruments of the Cross appear in roundels at the top of the East Window.

nails used to nail Jesus' hands and feet to the cross

a sponge on a stick soaked with sour wine which was offered to Jesus on the cross (Matt 27: 48) and spear used to pierce his side (John 19: 34)

a whip - Jesus was flogged
